Adventures in Dyeing

This week I embarked on my first foray  into the amazing world of dyeing fiber for spinning.  So many options for dye sources, many of which are totally safe in the kitchen using your regular dishes.  This was appealing since  I don't have a separate area or studio.  While I have recently ordered a kit of acid dyes (which require much more careful handling because of their toxicity), I decided to start with Easter egg dye, food coloring and also koolaid for these initial attempts.
